iTunes Picks Classic Rock Radio Site Within Weeks Of Launch

A streaming radio offer from one of the most popular web-based destinations for fans of classic rock music has been selected for iTunes listing within less than a month of launch.

iTunes is listing Get Ready To Rock! Radio www.getreadytorockradio.com - the latest venture from www.getreadytorock.com (Get Ready to ROCK!) news portal - under 'Classic Rock' in the radio section.

UK-based GRTR! Radio operates 24/7 streaming classic rock music for 18 hours a day (12 hours a day at weekends) with specialist shows for progressive, power pop, folk, blues and metal genres.

Station Manager David Randall cites the station's aim as "supporting the range of material available at getreadytorock.com, offering an alternative to stations programming top fifty material, giving a voice to established and independent artists who may not have a ready outlet on conventional radio stations."

Randall adds: "We know we are getting it right when we get selected for an iTunes listing within three weeks of launch."

The station is one of around 80 classic rock streams listed at iTunes compared to some 380 streams available via a standalone internet radio set, and many more via search engines.

In its first month of programming, GRTR! Radio has also featured favourite track selections from a variety of artists including singer songwriters Eleanor McEvoy, Judie Tzuke and Linda Lewis.
