Todd Rundgren

Todd Rundgren 05.08.08  (Broadcast 10.08.08)

Todd Rundgren releases his latest album 'Arena' via Cooking Vinyl, in September 2008, with a UK/Europe tour in November.

He describes the album as a return to an "old-school guitar-rock record".

Eleanor McEvoy secured a big label contract in the late 1990s but then fell out of favour with Sony and decided to go it alone. She has followed a single-minded path since 2001's 'Yola' and never looked back. David Randall asks Eleanor about her wider career history as well as her new album, 'Love Must Be Tough', released in June 2008.

Julie Westlake (Hydrogyn) 28.05.08  (Broadcast 01.06.08 )

Recently signed to UK label DR2, Hydrogyn caused a stir with their second album 'Bombshell' in 2007, not least for its graphic cover imagery. David Randall quizzes the band's singer Julie Westlake about that imagery and the new album released in June 2008.

Tipped as 'ones to watch' in 2008 by Classic Rock magazine, their debut album has been remixed by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica). GRTR! caught up with them at the start of their UK tour in April.

GRTR! Rising Stars Grace Solero released their debut album 'New Moon' in 2007 and have received glowing feedback. A new single is released in May and the band are supporting this with several dates.

Featuring four members of the original - and highly regarded - Karnataka line-up, Panic Room's debut album is released in April when they play a short promotional tour in the UK. David Randall talks to Jon Edwards.

McQueen

McQueen's debut album was released in January 2007 and they recently secured a support on the opening dates of the Velvet Revolver UK tour before they jetted off to Australia for a tour with Finnish band Him. David Randall asks them about Fanny, and hears about their future plans.

Charlie Dominici 11.03.08 (Broadcast 16 March 2008)

Charlie Dominici

Charlie was the original Dream Theater vocalist and appeared on their debut album in 1989. In April, the third and final part of his trilogy is released under the name Dominici and featuring his band with members drawn from Italy and Switzerland.

Doogie White

Doogie has appeared on many a melodic hard rock album since the late eighties. He's perhaps best known for his time in Rainbow (1995-1997) and more recently with Swedish rock guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen with whom he made two albums - in 2002 ('Attack') and 2005 ('Unleash The Fury').

Doogie recently announced his split from the Malmsteen band, and he tells David Randall more about that and his illustrious career, which also includes the bands Cornerstone and Empire.

Steve Balsamo 05.02.08 (Broadcast 17.02.08)

Steve Balsamo

Steve fronts The Storys, a highly-regarded harmony and song-driven band that have drawn comparisons with The Eagles and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

Steve has also had an interesting solo career, playing lead in the West End version of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and releasing an album on Sony in 2002.
